Biden's words giving Israel the green light for a military strike should Iran obtain nuclear capabilities caused public discomfort. ++ Yet anything less would be irresponsible: Jewish history taught Israel it cannot wait for the worst case scenario - realization of Ahmadinejad's threat of a nuclear attack. ++ The West must give the checks and balances of Israeli democracy the respect they deserve and recognize Netanjahu not as a stereotype but as a skillful leader, building consensus and solutions to Israel's security problems.
