Smiles on Surface, but Distrust Between US and China

Wenran Jiang, University of Alberta | September 1, 2011

The US-China relationship suffers from a mutual lack of trust. ++ A zero-sum view of the world sees any Chinese economic or military gains as “expansionary” at the expense of the West, just as Beijing is suspicious of a dysfunctional and “trigger-happy” US. ++ Despite decades of interaction, “increased interdependence has not led to better understandings” between Beijing and the rest of the world. ++ China’s rise is a fact. A “patient, creative, and consistent engagement strategy” is essential for both sides to remain at peace.

Yo !! So true !!
China & US relationship depends upon distrust .. lack of communication .. mistrusting each other .. Secondly,Pakistan-China friendship is also one important factor for creating differences between these two super powers And also the continuous economic growth of china is harming USA.
