Youth Network for Cooperation in the Mediterranean

I would like to introduce to you one of the projects of the Italian Atlantic Committee, The Youth Network for Cooperation in the Mediterranean (YNCM). The YNCM was created during the Atlantic Forum organized by the Italian Atlantic Committee in Palermo on June 10-11, 2011, in collaboration with the Atlantic Treaty Association (ATA), the Strategic Forum of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidency of Council of Ministers - Department of Youth.

The YNCM is mostly occupied with following areas: Security, International Relations, Economy, Political and Cultural Dialogue. In this framework, the YNCM supports research projects, scientific publications, international conferences, social networking, as well as study trips to the Euro-Atlantic Institutions.

The project is aimed at University students, researchers and young professionals from European and the Southern Mediterranean countries. It also welcomes the participation of interested professionals, academics and experts.

The Youth Network for Cooperation in the Mediterranean (YNCM) is set to promote dialogue and cooperation between Mediterranean countries and peoples in order to achieve sustainable solutions to the common issues affecting the region. The YNCM intends to offer a qualified contribution to the debate on the current challenges in the Mediterranean region. The YNCM tends to provide the young generation of Mediterranean leaders with an adequate platform to exchange ideas and best practices in order to strengthen Mediterranean dialogue and cooperation.

If you are interested in the activity of the YNCM you can find more information on: http://www.comitatoatlantico.it/en/yncm and you can also see the list of members at: http://www.comitatoatlantico.it/en/yncm/item/list-of-the-yncm-members?Itemid=999
