European Union in the multipolar world. Threats and challenges in the XXI century.

European Union is nowadays in the center of the economic crises and faces many different problems aiming unemployment, political and social instability, growing nationalism and general need for change. The main question arising out of it is, what does the change mean, whether it is the strengthening of EU by making the ties between member states closer, up to the federalism or is it the expansion or rebuilding of the transnational institutions? The answer on this question is crucial in the process of establishing the EU`s position in the world, its global influence and in general European perspective, understood here as Europeanization in general.
The propose conference is the possibility to discuss the EU`s relations with the main international actors, its place in the world order and participation in establishing it, as well as investigate the Union`s dimension towards the member states influence in the above matters.

Fortunately for researchers, there are far more questions than we can even think of or write here , so we hope that during the conference we will put as many of them as it is only possible. We would like to discuss the main subject in following areas: politics, economy, social aspects and combination of them.

The conditions of participation

1. The conference is organized by the European Department, Institute of Political Studies, Polish Academy of Science in Warsaw and The Faculty of Economics and Management, Lazarski University in Warsaw. The conference will take place in the Lazarski University Campus on the 19th of April 2012.
   
   
2. The conference fee is 100 Euro. The fee covers meal and coffee brakes during the conference, publication of the article in the peer review book (after the acceptance of the editing board and positive opinion of the reviewer), the quarterly “Economic and Political Thought”.
   
   
3. The deadline for the application is 17th of March 2012.
   
   
4. On the 27th of March the detailed program of the conference will be send to all the participants.

6. The resignation after the 27th of March 2012 - the fee will not be return.
