The American Left has Much to Teach Europe

Philiadelphia's Occupy movement is the first to announce it will run for Congress. ++ There is a "spirit of opportunism" in the American Left, whereas there are only two socialists still governing in Europe. ++ The revival of the Left in the US has been enabled by popular use of technology, linking the personal to the political. ++ The European left is "tired, dull, top-down and moribund", the Americans are decentralised and finding cohesion in diversity. ++ The American Left is thriving by organizing communities with new social media means.
