The US intelligence community's credibility took a serious hit after the 9/11 attacks, with many accusing intelligence agencies of being too slow to adapt to modern-day threats. ++ Ten years later, the intelligence community has made significant progress by improving coordination between agencies, effectively aggregating information and placing more emphasis on innovation. ++ As a result of increased integration, the intelligence community today is much better positioned to protect the country against potential threats.
