"Obama's Offer: an End to US Stupidity"

Simon Jenkins, The Times | September 1, 2008

“Politics is the art of communicating intimacy to a crowd” and Obama's latest speech proved that he is very good at it. ++ However, commentators do not ask if he can win, but if he should win and question the US readiness for a black, elitist president. ++ However, to many people outside the US the next American president is the difference between life and death and they clearly prefer Obama. ++ Americans should accept Obama's offer to end US failed efforts to govern a unipolar world.
