Countdown to UK Election 2010
Philip Johnston, The Telegraph | November 25, 2009
There is a very real danger of the 2010 British election resulting in a 'hung' parliament, the worst possible result. ++ “This reflects the British desire for a Goldilocks government – not too strong and not too weak, but just right.” ++ Recent polls, a diverse political representation and the sheer scale of the victory needed for a Tory majority makes this the most complicated election in a generation. ++ A failure to establish a legitimate government at home would irrevocably harm Britain's international standing and lead to another credit crisis.

There is no evidence to suggest a hung parliament would be a disaster - indeed coalition governments worked very well for the UK during both world wars.
By having a coalition government, more people within the country would be represented and therefore more people's interests would be looked after. Collaboration and negotiation - and indeed compromise - would become a thing of parliament and I believe that this would be better for our country.
The politics of this country need a serious overhaul and a hung parliament may just very well be the thing that it needs to get it all started.
