Europe's Geopolitical Influence is Waning

Given its relatively small geopolitical size, Europe needs to encourage stability among its neighbors in an effort to sustain its current enjoyment of internal tranquility. ++ While slowly crawling from beneath the US security blanket under which it has hidden for decades, Europe must look to new regions, such as East Asia, for security agreements and interregional cooperation. ++ At the same time, its habit of integrating neighbors must continue to expand if its young Muslim neighbors are to discontinue feeling disaffected.
