Europe's Past shall not be Asia's Future

John Lee, Pravda | September 27, 2010

The recent row between China and Japan over the detention of a Chinese boat captain points out to “structural, strategic and institutional” tension in the relationship. ++ With China’s increasing ascendancy, the rift between the two countries is bound to widen in the years ahead. ++ The growing influence of the People's Liberation Army in China’s strategic and foreign policy is also a matter of concern for regional and international players. ++ ‘Regional Integration’ still prevails, but future trends indicate serious conflict in the region.
