Even if Peace Talks Fail, Independence is Inevitable

Daoud Kuttab, The Washington Post | September 8, 2010

The Palestinian leadership’s determination to continue the pursuit of a peace startegy that embraces non-violence has had a positive impact on the ongoing peace talks. ++ However, Israel’s incessant violation of human rights and international law in Palestine have made the Palestinians sceptical about Israel’s commitment to peace. ++ Nevertheless, the Palestinians should remain hopeful because, no matter what the immediate outcome of the talks, the creation of a Palestinian state is inevitable.
