German Role in Afghanistan Overstated

Senior Afghan official, Mohammad Z. Wahdats is skeptical that there would be less stability in Afghanistan's north without the Germans. ++ "For the issue of security, we don't need them any more. We solve all our problems by ourselves." ++ Wahdats also calls the German training of the Afghan National Police a failure ++ Germans overstate their engagement and effectiveness in the north and their troops have become less important. ++ The German excuse for rejecting requests to engage in other regions in Afghanistan is thus invalid.
