Lipstick on a Scapegoat

C. Wernicke, Sueddeutsche Zeitung (in German) | October 29, 2008

In the final week of the presidential election, Obama is ahead in the polls by a double digit margin. ++ Republicans have started to look for a scapegoat, turning out to be none other than Sarah Palin. ++ Palin has publicly criticized McCain’s campaign strategy, giving rise to the impression that McCain’s campaign is falling apart. ++ With the nomination of Palin, McCain tried to gain the support of conservatives but has now lost moderate and independent voters. ++ The choice of Sarah Palin as Americas’s next vice-president will cost McCain his victory.
