McCain is a Better Choice for Europe

W. Muenchau, trans. R. Argentati in Watching America | May 26, 2008

Europeans' support for Obama based solely on his Democratic credentials ignores his resistance to free trade which is something on which Europe depends. ++ "His 'Invest in America' policy can hardly be topped as protectionist mindset, and his 'Fair Trade' policies would lead to a restriction of world trade." ++ Despite looming years of economic austerity and the US's loss of power, both Clinton and McCain are more aware of the country's global role and have more to offer than Obama with his conventional and reactive policies.
