No Need to Fear Iran

Babu G. Ranganathan, Pravda.ru | July 30, 2008

US government has a tendency to "squash mosquitoes with TNT,” which shows in its treatment of Iran. ++ There's no need to fear Iran: Ahamadinejad is only a figurehead putting on a show of might to gain respect in the Muslim world; the real power is in the hands of religious leaders, many of whom are sympathetic to the West. ++ The fact that Americans don’t see that reveals they don’t grasp geo-social complexities of the Islamic Rebublic. ++ The US should take a tougher stance on Pakistan instead - this is the true culprit in the region.
