Obama Needs to Match His Words With Deeds

Richard Silverstein, The Guardian | November 2, 2009

Although Obama has a great vision on the Arab-Isreali conflict, as his phenomenal speech in Cairo demonstrated, he has failed to translate his promises into "concrete accomplishments." ++ Obama will have to be tougher, and put equal pressure on both sides in close cooperation with its European allies and Russia, if he wants to reach a peace agreement in the Middle East. ++ This approach could work as both parties know the outlines of a final agreement, but still need a push from the international community.
