Obama Overlooks Existing Alliances

Eric Egland, United States Air Force | August 1, 2008

When Obama visited Europe, he spoke eloquently about needing a US-EU partnership to defeat terrorism. ++ The problem is: the US already have a counterterrorism partnership with the EU and it works efficiently, despite the stereotyping media coverage of aggressive Americans and pacifist Europeans. ++ For instance, the US and the EU succeeded in stopping students in France developing new bombs for militants in Iraq. ++ Accomplishments such as this deserve due recognition, especially from a prospective commander in chief.
