Racism and Russians in the US Presidential Race

America is forgetful of Obama's skin color in part because he "placed the race issue beyond the borders of the discourse." ++ America has changed greatly in the last fifty years - pejoratives and epithets have given way to more emollient euphemisms; racism still lurks, though. ++ In a land where everyone lies "like crazy," Obama is facing a great obstacle in the form of the "Bradley effect." ++ In the USSR, class consciousness replaced personal; is it racist then to dislike it when one "expresses oneself through any group"?
