Reconciling Frayed Ties

Dmitry A. Medvedev, Russian President | April 1, 2009

This year holds promise for the Russia-US bilateral relation. ++ The Russian President has argued Russia and the US should attend the G20 and try “establish universal rules and disciplines that would apply to all parties without exception [...] and introduce a world supranational reserve currency” supervised from the IMF. ++ He further added that it is the duty of Russia and the US “to take energetic steps to establish a climate of trust and goodwill in global politics, not to languish in inaction and disengagement.”
