Reconciling US and Iraqi Narratives About the War

A recent poll showed that 70% of Iraqis believe US should leave because they are fuelling tensions. ++ Americans believe US should stay to curb sectarian violence and promote democracy. ++ Even Petraeus recognizes the solution is economic and political rather than military. ++ Breaching the gap of perception of the war requires a dialogue including Iraqi civil society, government, and religious leaders.
