Scope of US Foreign Policy Must be Widened

Since the Cold War, US foreign policy has struggled to find a “main enemy,” thereby defining its focus. ++ Global politics, however, have returned to a status quo, in which a broad range of problems, with long-term resilience and requiring non-ideological responses, will be better served with America’s continuing strategic advantage on most fronts. ++ On a non-governmental level, US citizens must maintain their own strengths, namely their vibrant civil society and exceptional ability to integrate immigrants.
