Sino-US Dialogue Essential to Solve Financial Crisis
Li Baojie, China View | December 3, 2008
Tomorrow the fifth Sino-US Strategic Economic Dialogue will start and will focus on how the two economies will face the ongoing financial crisis ++ Other topics on the agenda include energy, environment, trade and investment. ++ Such a dialogue is essential as both countries are critical to counter the economic slowdown. ++ The US needs China to “tackle the current financial crisis as the latter holds a large amount of foreign exchange reserves.” ++ President-elect Obama should not hesitate to continue this strategic dialogue.
