A renewed naval patrol around the Georgian coast has been Russia’s reaction to the cancellation of the missile defence project as threats are turning into a veiled policy to undermine its sovereignty. ++ “Moscow has realized that a more patient and deliberate policy aimed at gradually isolating and distancing Georgia from the West could better serve its plan of imperial dominance.” ++ Russian leaders now expect the next step of Washington’s concession to be the complete withdrawal of any possibility that Ukraine or Georgia will join NATO.
