Unity - a Fragile China Bowl?

China is afraid of its unity being called into question. ++ Kosovo’s recent unilateral declaration of independence, Taiwan’s upcoming presidential election, and China’s short history as a united country are reasons for stringent behavior in Tibet. ++ China fears the West helping Tibet or Taiwan become sovereign countries. ++ China and the West must avoid exaggerated fears creating self-inflicted prophecies.
