Where's Harper?

Editorial, Toronto Star | September 25, 2009

Canadian PM Stephen Harper was absent from the UN General Assembly this week missing a “golden opportunity to give prominence to Canadian views on global issues.” ++ This has been attributed to both Canada’s failure to make progress on climate change and Harper’s disdain at the Saturday evening speaking slot offered. ++ His absence is further highlighted by the bold speech given by Obama. ++ “Canada's stature won't be enhanced by these missed opportunities and it's not much of a strategy for securing a Security Council seat.”

I like this comment! What's this?
The world is much better off when neo-cons remain ex-cons, and under the strong leadership of the Obama Administration.
