Topic Running for Women's Rights in Afghanistan

NATO: Robina Jalali sprinted for Afghanistan in the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. She is now running toward a different finish line, as she attempts to secure political victory in the September elections as a candidate for Parliament.

 

Robina Jalali is running as an independent candidate in the 2010 Parliamentary elections in Afghanistan. She stresses that equal rights for men and women remain only words in her country and do not reflect the reality on the ground. Unusual for Afghani women, Jalali is single, seeing marriage as an impediment to her career goals. If she is successful in her bid for a parliamentary seat, Jalali aims to promote athletics across the country, particularly in schools.

Wanted to wish success to Ms. Robina Jalali in her attempt to reach to the Afghan Parliament. If elected she should struggle for the Women Empowerment in her country as well as in the field of human rights.People of Afghanistan deserve a better and peaceful life, it's almost more then 30 years, they have been facing, invasion, talibanization, bloodshed.

Of course the youth of Afghanistan besides education needs more sports facilities, and Robina would be the best choice for her electorate to support. I hope besides Robina there should be more female candidate because their participation in politics would help the change of mind-set as well as required representation of the Afghan Women.

Dear All:

She is not educated and is unaware of Afghan culture. She is advertising the way she is candidate for beauty parlor. She sells her beauty. She is backed by one of the richest bankers of the country-Afghanistan.

Her performance in olympics was not outstanding too. She is candidate in order to bring a special kind of security to money mafia in country-Afghanistan.
