“Your Ideas, Your NATO” is an opportunity for students and young professionals to present their policy ideas for NATO's future. It is part of atlantic-community.org’s ongoing effort to empower young people in the transatlantic debate and develop collective solutions to important international issues.
Participants are asked to submit a short opinion article (600-800 words) in one of our three categories of debate: transatlantic values and community, partnerships after the Arab Spring, and Smart Defense. For each category, authors of the best contributions will have the opportunity to draft a joint policy memo with their peers. One winner in each category (three in total) will then present the ideas to decision makers and receive feedback at our conference in Berlin! There will also be a 500 EUR cash prize for winners and a 250 EUR cash prize for three runners-up.
Deadline for submissions in the first category is February 23.
Deadline for submissions in the second category is March 15.
Deadline for submissions in the third category is April 5.
The competition is made possible by the generous contributions of NATO, the US Mission to Germany and the Heinrich Boell Foundation.
