15th Transatlantic Summer Academy (TASA)

"The Secular and the Sacred: Politics and Religion in Transatlantic Perspective" University of Bonn, June 23 - July 19, 2008 This year's Transatlantic Summer Academy (TASA) will be hosted by the University of Bonn at its Center for European Integration Studies (ZEI) from June 23rd to July 19th, 2008. For more than ten years, the University of Bonn has been host to students, graduates and PhD candidates from North America and Europe participating in the annual Transatlantic Summer Academy (TASA). Founded in 1994, TASA has always been dedicated to fostering an understanding of the nature and the importance of transatlantic relations and the European integration process. Each year, the academy invites future leaders and decision makers to focus on a different central issue. In the summer of 2008, TASA's focus will be on the topic: "The Secular and the Sacred: Politics and Religion in Transatlantic Perspective". The 15th Transatlantic Summer Academy will once again offer an interesting and intensive interdisciplinary program, comprising not only lectures, seminars, podiums discussions and simulation games, but also excursions to German and international institutions in Berlin, the Hague, Brussels and Strasbourg. The application deadline is March 23rd, 2008. For further details and the latest news on the program, please consult the "(external)TASA website":http://www.tasa.uni-bonn.de or send an e-mail to tasa@uni-bonn.de.
