The "(external)New America Foundation":http://www.newamerica.net/events/2007/restructuring_world_economic_power_relations_through_high_oil_prices organized a discussion on April 25, 2007 between Senior Fellow Flynt Leverett and Oystein Noreng on the unintended consequences of the Iraq war on world economic power relations. Steven Clemons moderated. Noreng, Professor and Chair of Petroleum Economics and Management at the "(external)Norwegian School of Management":http://www.bi.no/Content/StartPageEnglish____56401.aspx, focused on the decline of America’s hegemony in global energy markets and the rise of new powers.
