Human Rights and Hard Realities, Strasbourg, 16th -21st April 2010
In cooperation with its international partners and
with the generous support of the "Youth in Action" programme of the European
Commission, the International Network of European Studies (INES) is holding a
seminar in Strasbourg for interested young people.
The seminar - 'Human Rights and Hard Realities - Significant Milestones Status Quo and the Future Development of Human Rights in a Globalized World' will be held from 16th to 21st April 2010.
After an introduction by Prof. Syméon Karagiannis (University of Strasbourg), we will visit the Council of Europe to explore the Institution's role in Human Rights issues. In the following, participants will have opportunities to meet members of different NGOs and to shed light on the role of Human Rights issues within the European Union, as well as the importance of the European Ombudsman.
Another highlight of the seminar will be a visit to the European Court of Human Rights.
