International Afghanistan Student Conference 2011

When diplomats and politicians gather in Bonn to discuss the future of
Afghanistan in December, 60 students from ISAF countries, Afghanistan and Pakistan will have a chance to do the same - just a few meters away. Based on first-hand information from and discussions with conference participants and independent experts, you will work on your own solutions on the many challenges facing Afghanistan today.
The Afghanistan Student Conference organised by the Deutsche Atlantische Gesellschaft will take place in Bonn, Germany on December 4-7, 2011. Full board and lodging will be provided and your active participation can be supported by a limited allowance up to €200.
We welcome your applications if you are an exceptional student or young professionals, aged 20-30 and are have a strong interest in Afghanistan and the region. Studies and/or experience in the fields of international relations, development cooperation, defense/security, journalism, international business, and academia are desirable.
Applicant requirements:
• Students and young professionals age 20-30
• Afghan, Pakistani or an ISAF country citizenship
• Strong interest in Afghanistan and the region
• working knowledge of English
