Transatlantic Studies Association Annual Conference July 7-10 2008

The Transatlantic Studies Association is part of the University of Dundee's Institute for Transatlantic, European and American Studies (ITEAS). Its aims are:

• to provide focus for transatlantic area studies and bring together scholars from different disciplines in order to further research and understanding of transatlantic relations
• to nurture research networks and disseminate research outputs in an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary environment;
• to provide a forum that will bring together academics with officials and specialists from other professions;

Proposals by individuals, full panels of three speakers or a series of related panels focusing on a particular theme or topic are welcome. Any initial questions should be directed to Alan Dobson or the relevant panel co-ordinator. Early submission of proposals and panels are welcome. The organizers would also like to invite proposals for well-structured inter-disciplinary Roundtables on particular events, themes, regions / countries amongst others ideas. Panels
