How to Revive Climate Negotiations

Brahma Chellaney, Center for Policy Research | April 23, 2010

A exceptionally cold winter in the Northern Hemisphere revealed inaccuracies in climate data, and the Copenhagen Climate Summit debacle have combined to put the issue on the back burner. ++ If climate change negotiations are to be renewed this year, they must take into account lessons of the failed summit. ++ “The first lesson is that climate change is a matter not only of science, but also of geopolitics. The expectation at Copenhagen that scientific research would trump geopolitics was misguided.”

Why would negatiations be renewed? This scam is over. Let's move on to a new one. Let's see H2N1, oh that sounds a lot like H1N1 and that is over too. Perhaps a tax to help bail out the banks. Oh thanks to Canada, that will take a while. The world is wide open to new ideas...

I think there is a slight typo:

"The expectation at Copenhagen that scientific research would trump geopolitics was misguided"

should read

"The expectation at Copenhagen that cargo cult science would trump scientific research, geopolitics, and popular opinion, was misguided"

There, I fixed it for you.
