Assistant, Associate, full professor of IR, Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University
The Department of Political Science at Texas A&M University is in search to fill a position in International Relations. We anticipate filling the International Relations position at the level of assistant professor, but there is the possibility of appointment at the level of associate or full professor for well-qualified applicants.
Interests for the position include an emphasis on international political economy (trade, foreign direct investment, or international finance) as well as other areas of specialization in international relations.
Candidates should have active research agendas, the potential to publish in high-quality venues, good teaching credentials or potential, and demonstrated theoretical creativity and mastery of advanced quantitative research methods (statistical, experimental, and/or formal modeling).
A Ph.D. in political science or in a cognate field is required for the position. Candidates for the position of associate professor must additionally have at least four years of experience in a faculty position; candidates for the position of full professor must have at least seven years of experience in a faculty position. Job duties include teaching and research. The starting date for both positions is Fall 2011.
