Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of History invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Public History with a specialization in New Media and any geographic field, beginning Fall 2011, pending final approval of funding. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in History and exhibit a strong potential for excellence in teaching and research. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate expertise in Public History and the ability to teach courses in Public History and New Media as well as in another geographic and chronological specialization area. The successful candidate will be expected to also teach graduate-level courses in the same subjects, as well as participate in Loyola University Chicago's Center for Textual Studies and Digital Humanities.
