Assistant Professor, Wellesley College
The Department of Political Science at Wellesley College is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in Middle Eastern and North African politics beginning in the academic year 2011-2012.
We invite applicants rigorously and broadly trained in comparative politics and with field research experience in the region. We are particularly interested in candidates able to teach a wide range of courses in Middle Eastern politics (including one course on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict) as well as introduction to comparative politics. Faculty members are expected to teach two courses per semester. Ph.D. completed or near completed preferred. Candidates should have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate students in a liberal arts environment. Teaching experience is desirable.
