Assistant Professor Criminal Justice - University of Central Florida

University of Central Florida, Orlando, Department of Criminal Justice. Position/rank and salary: (2) Assistant/Associate Professors in Criminal Justice. Salary is negotiable.

Positions are responsible for: 1) teaching graduate/undergraduate courses; 2) dissertation service; 3) production of scholarship; 4) pursuit of external funding to support research; 5) active development of departmental initiatives; and, 6) service to the discipline, community and the university.

Teaching load is two/three courses per semester depending on scholarly/research grant activity. Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related discipline is required; Ph.D. must be completed by August 1, 2011. For consideration at rank of Associate the candidate must also have a substantial publication record and demonstrated success securing external funding for research. Specialization is open but preference will be given to candidates with research and instruction interests in justice administration, juvenile justice, social science research methods and/or statistics, and criminal justice GIS applications.
