Editor at the Itinera Institute
The Itinera Institute is an independent and non-partisan think-tank and do-tank that
identifies and promotes roads for policy reform towards sustained economic
growth and social protection, for Belgium and its regions. The institute is in rapid
expansion and seeks to strengthen its team with an Editor.
Job description:
As editor, you will be responsible for the supervision of the language and the
writing style in a variety of texts and publications developed and distributed by the
Itinera Institute. Among other things, this will cover:
- Reviewing or writing website texts;
- Reviewing or writing accessible summaries to studies and reports;
- Reviewing or writing press statements;
- Reviewing or writing short pieces on practical examples or human interest
dimensions of Itinera research;
- Reviewing shorter and longer publications prior to their distribution;
- Coordinating the annual report of the institute.
Profile:
- Multilingual (NDL/FR/ENG) professional with experience or training in
journalism or printed media.
- Fluent writer with a crisp pen.
- Perfect bilingual FR/NDL is a plus but not a precondition.
- Interest in, or familiarity with, social and economic policy issues.
- Hands on attitude and attention to detail.
- Flexible availability on a free-lance basis but with a regular work flow.
