Employment or Internship in International Relations
Dear member of the Atlantic Community
As a recent graduate in political science, I am currently looking for opportunities including internships in Germany and Europe within a think-tank, research institution or civil society organization. I am especially interested in working in the areas of international relations, peace and security, environmental politics or human rights but I am also open to opportunities in other fields.
What I have to offer is:
- A Diplom (equivalent to a Masters degree) in political science and philosophy with a focus on international relations
- Very good analytical skills
- Research interests and knowledge in the areas of peace and conflict studies, global governance, international organizations, international environmental politics, and water
- A talent for organizing, managing projects and solving problems
- International experience gained through an internship at the Global Environment Facility in Washington D.C.
- Language skills in German (native-speaker), English (fluent) and French (good knowledge)
My personal strengths are the ability to learn very quickly on the job, that I work with enthusiasm and initiative and that I don’t lose focus or my sense of humor when the workload is high, the hours long or the deadlines tight.
If you think that I can support your team or your organization, please contact me at lars.thies(at)gmx.de. I will gladly answer any questions you may have and/or send you a detailed CV.
Best regards
Lars Thies
