Outreach Coordinator, atlantic-community.org

Atlantic-community.org is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the part-time (20 hours per week) position of Outreach Coordinator in our Berlin office, starting on September 1, 2010. Applicants must be eligible to work in Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement targeted public relations and online marketing campaigns to support ongoing projects
  • Generate statistical analyses and reports on ongoing projects
  • Produce collateral and marketing materials, such as emails, press releases, newsletters, annual reports, and presentations
  • Manage media relations and build relationships with key online media
  • Provide technical support to site users and handle general inquiries
  • Support fundraising efforts by jointly developing, planning and drafting new project proposals and identifying new cooperation partners together with directors and program staff
  • Perform basic photo-editing and graphic design functions as needed


Requirements:

  • Native-level English speaker, with strong writing skills and copywriting and/or journalistic experience, as well as business-level knowledge of German
  • Commitment to delivering quality results under time pressure, in a team and at own initiative
  • Creativity, dependability, and very strong organizational skills
  • Intensive knowledge of international affairs beyond the issues that dominate the headlines and a keen interest in transatlantic relations
  • Enthusiasm for social media, blogs, and new online trends, including demonstrated participation on atlantic-community.org
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically basic experience in using Excel functions), Photoshop, or equivalent programs, as well as previous work experience with online media, content management systems and basic HTML editing
