Part-time Senior Fellow for Training and E-learning


The Vrije Universiteit Brussel seeks a postdoctoral fellow to become part of the Political Science Department of the Faculty of Economic, Political and Social Science at the Solvay Business School.

The incumbent will obtain 50% professorship (ZAP, Docent) and should start his/her term on 01 September 2010. He/she will be required to undertake the following tasks:

  • Education and Research in the domain of European Policy
  • Coordination of the (advanced) Master of European Integration and Development, jointly organized by the Faculty and IES.

Duration: three years with possibility of renewal.

Requirements:

  • An advanced university degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in one of the core disciplines of European Studies (political science or related social sciences);
  • Significant experience in university-level teaching and programmedevelopment;
  • Experience in research and teaching in the domain of policy analysis in general, and European policy more specifically;
  • Familiarity with MA programmes in European Studies (familiarity with the VUB Master of European Integration and Development is an asset);
  • Substantial research experience and interest and publications related to European Studies;
  • The ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural environment
  • Fluency in English;
  • Working knowledge of other European languages is desirable;
  • Experience in training will be considered a strong asset.

Remuneration: post-doctoral level
