Political scientist looking for position in research and consulting
In July 2008 I finished my studies with a diploma in political science from Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. During my studies I focused on German and European politics as well as on international relations focusing on North America. Furthermore, I successfully completed the Washington Semester Foreign Policy Program at American University in Washington, DC studying a semester abroad in fall 2006.
In addition to obtaining better knowledge in US and international politics, I trained my ability to work in a multi-national environment. During my studies I moreover have gained practical experience. With regard to migration and integration policy, my internship at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees in the department of International Tasks, gave me the opportunity to analyze the connection of international, national and regional organizations and government institutions.
Throughout a further internship at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Washington, DC, I independently worked on transatlantic projects and especially evaluated the progress of the US Midterm Elections 2006. While interning at the German Bundestag in Berlin, I acquired wide comprehension about the parliamentary political process in Germany and gained insight into global challenges. I consolidated my knowledge in EU policies during my internship at the Europe Direct Relais Nuremberg. I demonstrated good analytical and organizational skills as well as flexibility and my capacity for teamwork. Being a dynamic, motivated and skilled political scientist, positions in political research, consulting as well as in public policy focusing on Germany, the EU and the US strongly attract my attention.
