Program Assistant, The German Marshall Fund of the US, Berlin

The Berlin office of the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) seeks to fill a full-time position of a Program Assistant. GMF is a nonpartisan American public policy and grantmaking institution.
The Program Assistant position will provide administrative and general program support for the Berlin office. General responsiblities include, but are not limited to:
- Event organization and logistics: preparation and on-site support
- Assistance with fellowship programs
- Assistance with development, monitoring, and evaluation of projects
- Research assistance for special projects
- General administrative tasks
Skills & Background:
Strong candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a subject related to transatlantic relations and a sound understanding of German and American politics. They will also have proven organization and administrative experience, ability to work independently within a team environment, excellent computer skills and familiarity with MS Office programs, and strong writing and communication skills. Fluency in English and German is required. Previous international working experience is a plus. A German work permit is required.
