Research Assistant at the Brooking Institution's Center on the US and Europe
The Brooking Institution’s Center on the United States and Europe is looking for a Research Assistant. Main responsibilities include: providing research and research coordination assistance
for the Research Director of the Center on the United States and Europe (CUSE) and other Brookings scholars in the development of timely and
quality research and publications on the international mission in Afghanistan; providing support for the Brookings research agenda on Afghanistan under the guidance of the Research Director, and occasional administrative tasks for the Research Director
and other scholars working on Afghanistan.
Candidates need to have an M.A. in international affairs, political science, public policy or related area. In-depth understanding of Afghanistan, counterinsurgency, peacekeeping, and European politics/NATO is preferred. Superior academic record, outstanding research, writing, and analytical skills are required, as well as one year of substantive professional research experience.
