Tenure-track Political Science Faculty Position, Franklin College, USA
Franklin College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Political Science to begin August 2011. We seek a broadly-trained political scientist with a strong interest and background in constitutional and public law.
The ideal candidate will be expected to teach across the discipline including courses in domestic law, American political processes, state and local government and comparative government.
The successful applicant will be required to advise the College's Pre-Law Club, oversee the pre-law curriculum and be expected to build a Mock Trial Team. The successful candidate must also advise undergraduates and engage in scholarship and service. Candidates who can demonstrate a dedication to teaching and a genuine interest in working with undergraduates in a small, collegial liberal arts setting will be given priority.
Required qualifications include: college level teaching experience and an earned doctorate (Ph.D. and/or JD) or ABD, preferably with a Ph.D. to be awarded by August 2011. Experience in the legal system is preferred.
