Visiting Fellowship at Princeton University's Center for the Study of Democratic Politics
Princeton University's
Center for the Study of Democratic Politics (CSDP) seeks up to five visitors
for the 2009-2010 academic year. The Center supports empirical research on democratic
political processes and institutions, with a particular focus on the
relationship between democratic theory and democratic practice. Applications
are welcome from political scientists and scholars in related social science
disciplines at any career stage from "all but dissertation" to senior
faculty. Each visitor will pursue research and contribute to the intellectual
life of the Center, the Department of Politics, and the Woodrow Wilson School
of Public and International Affairs. Visitors will receive a competitive salary
(visitors who hold faculty appointments at other academic institutions normally
receive one-half their academic-year salaries for the appointment period, but
this may vary depending on level of support from the home institution), applicable Princeton University benefits, a taxable
moving allowance, and a $5,000 research fund.
Complete applications must be received by November 15, 2008. Additional
information and application materials are available from the CSDP website.
