Connections Quarterly Journal

The PfP Consortium (PfPC) publishes CONNECTIONS, a quarterly scholarly journal with articles written by academics and practitioners, covering the full range of security studies issues, serving the military, civilian and academic needs of the Consortium membership and the international community. Currently copies of the journal are sent to over 800 institutions in 58 countries around the globe!

Submission and Style Guidelines

CONNECTIONS accepts manuscripts in the range of 2,000 to 7,000 words, written in a lucid style for a target audience of informed defence and security affairs practitioners and academics. All manuscripts should be submitted to the Connections Editorial office Board electronically at pfpcpublications(AT)marshallcenter.org.

Submissions should feature the author’s name, current institutional affiliation, and a provisional title at the top of the first page, and should include footnotes where necessary.

Preferred themes for the 2010/2011 publication year include:

Defence planning in austerity
Environmental Security: Sources of Cooperation and Conflict
Crisis Management/Disaster Response: Lessons Learned
Security, Stability, and Reconstruction Operations
New trends in civil military relations
Integration of Euro-Atlantic Norms and Values
Innovative Approaches to Defence Education

Unsolicited manuscripts are accepted on a rolling basis at the discretion of the PfPC Editorial Board.
