Exchange: The Magazine for International Business and Diplomacy - Issue 6 - Winter 2011
We are currently selecting articles for publication and seeking potential contributors for our Winter issue of “Exchange the Magazine for International Business and Diplomacy”. Exchange magazine dedicates regular sections to issues of investment, trade, development and political risk. A section of the Autumn issue will be devoted, broadly speaking, to the interrelation of business, diplomacy and conflict. The choice of the topic appeared to us necessary in view of the on-going unrest in the Middle East/Africa and its far-reaching implications for investors in the region. Some of the themes in this component of the issue will include (but will not be limited to):
- How can business thrive in authoritarian countries? How are political risks managed?
- What is the future of FDI in the natural resource sector in the wake of political transition and economic restructuring in the Arab World?
- How can business promote conflict-resolution and peace-building?
In addition we are covering various trade and FDI related issues as well as energy infrastructure, telecomunications and policy priorities in Southeast Europe, Middle East and West Africa. The winter issue will also include a section on Turkey, and expect to include interviews with business leaders and diplomats based in Turkey plus an interview with the Turkish Foreign Minister.

Please bear in mind that the maximum length is 1000 words. We require authors to forward a passport-size picture with their profile, which will be shown alongside the publication. We also ask that you provide a short biography.
