Nexus of Water, Climate Change, Governance and Corruption
Context: Climate change has been growing in importance on the global political agenda and is increasingly recognised as a serious threat to sustainability. By definition, climate change largely related to changes in the global, regional and local hydrological cycle. As the impact of climate change grows, so does its effect on the water sector.
A serious gap in knowledge and research on the nexus of water, climate change, governance and corruption, leaves the door wide open for unethical behaviour and corruption.
Submitted papers must:
- Address strategies and actions to promote water integrity under the impact of climate change;
- Focus on regional and/or local initiatives to address corruption;
- Focus on water supply and sanitation, irrigation, hydropower, coastal and transboundary waters, or water resources management; and
- Include governance aspects.
The submission deadline is the 3rd of March at 18.00 CET. All submissions must be written in English and be between 10 and 20 double spaced typed pages. Email all submissions to WINexpertconsultation@win-s.org.
